Northwood University alumni have rallied to donate $10,000 towards a student-led work to construct a Occupation Closet in Midland.
Professor Chelsea Butcher’s Sustainability Science course is performing on a NU Profession Closet for the neighborhood to come and purchase company attire for task interviews and far more. Pupils arrived at out to the neighborhood this month in attempts to garner donations of all sizes of neutral and primary apparel, which includes blazers, blouses, gown shirts, undershirts, button-up shirts, suits, gown trousers, skirts, tights, khakis and dresses, in addition to costume footwear, briefcases, ties, jewelry, watches, belts and socks.
“The feed-back has been overwhelmingly favourable, and our college students are so grateful to the local community and our alumni for supporting this work,” Butcher stated.
Students ended up elated this 7 days to discover their NU Profession Closet project has been chosen as this semester’s Task 100 funding receiver.
Project 100 is a progress initiative meant to put the electricity in the fingers of the donors. A group of 100 Northwood alumni, personnel, and good friends gathers as soon as every semester to assessment a few assignments from campus teams requesting funding.
